EEO Public File Report

October 1, 2010

This report is being filed to comply with Federal Communications Commission Rules providing the following information for the period of September 22, 2009 to September 21, 2010 for Station  KZZT (FM), Moberly, Missouri.  According to Federal Communications Commission  EEO rules, this station employment unit  is not subject to formal outreach and recruitment requirements as fewer than five full-time persons are employed.

 Supplemental Outreach Initiatives and Activities

A:  FM 105, Inc. participated in a scholarship program in conjunction with the International Broadcasters Idea Bank and SESAC which awarded a $7500.00 scholarship award to a college student attending a U.S. College or University who is seeking a degree in Broadcast-Related programs.  Some of the programs included degrees in Mass Media, Communication, Journalism, Advertising or Music.   

B:  FM 105, Inc. also participates in the Missouri Broadcasters Association Foundation Internship Program.  Selected applicants receive $250.00 for each credit hour, up to a maximum of $1000.00.  We assist the MBA Foundation by promoting and distributing brochures and applications.  This is a year-around program, however, final recipients are selected three times only, each year. C:  FM 105, Inc. participates in the Missouri Broadcasters Association Scholarship Program.  Deserving students receive financial aid to assist them in attaining the training and expertise required to become valuable employees in Missouri's broadcasting industry. The annual deadline for applications is March 31st of each year. Click here for more information.

D:  FM 105, Inc. has an ongoing program which allows area school students who are interested in the broadcast industry to "shadow" station personnel which provides participants with a real life perspective of day-to-day operations in a radio station. On December 16, 2009 Katrina Brown, Jamie White, Arin Wolf and Shelby Aleshire participated in a job shadow experience and worked on a media plan as part of Victor Bell's Government Class. In addition, Shelby Aleshire of Moberly participated in a full-day job shadow session in April of 2010. Representing FM 105, Inc. in the job shadow program was Shellye Stansel, Station Operations Manager.

E:  Continued to air weekly announcements encouraging those who are interested in a broadcast related career to contact us.

F:  Continued to air weekly announcements encouraging the help of local organizations in referring qualified applicants to our stations.  These announcements inform organizations that wish to receive our job vacancy information to contact us.
