This report is being filed to comply with Federal Communications Commission Rules providing the following
information for the period of September 22, 2014 to September 21, 2015 for Stations KFMZ (AM) and KZBK (FM),
Brookfield, Missouri. According to Federal Communications Commission EEO rules, this station employment unit is not
subject to formal outreach and recruitment requirements as fewer than five full-time persons were employed during

A: Best Broadcasting, Inc.
participates in the Missouri Broadcasters Association Scholarship
program. Deserving students receive financial aid to assist them in attaining the training and expertise
required to become valuable employees in Missouri's broadcasting industry. The annual deadline for
applications is March 31st of each year. Click here for more information.
B: Best Broadcasting, Inc. has an ongoing Internship program which allows area youth to actually work in a
broadcast environment. During this reporting cycle, Ryan Elliott from Brookfield High School has been
working as a paid intern in a variety of broadcast related functions. He was hired as a BHS Junior and worked
through his Senior year before contuning his education at the College level in August of 2015. Ryan was
referred to us by the BHS Counselor and is a student in the BHS Communications department. His supervisors include
Jeff Elliott, KFMZ/KZBK Operations Manager and Dale Palmer, KFMZ/KZBK General Manager.
C: Best Broadcasting, Inc. has an ongoing program which allows area school students who are interested in the
broadcast industry to "shadow" station personnel. Each year we host several students from various schools
throughout the listening area and give them a real life perspective of day-to-day operations in a radio station.
This year, one of those students was Paul Railey, a senior at Meadville High School. During the shadow experience
on March 17, 2015, Jordan was exposed to all aspects of the Station Operations Manager responsibilities and much
more. He also expressed significant interest in creative-related occupations within the radio station.
D: KFMZ/KZBK was represented by Jeff Elliott, Group Operations Manager during a Career
Fair at the Linn County Career and Technical Center on November 20, 2014. Approximately 600 area high school
students were represented during the day long event. Jeff conducted sessions with four separate groups of
students discussing career opportunities in the field of broadcasting.
E: KFMZ/KZBK has a mentoring assistance program. This years program
involved assistance and a one-on-one interview with Brookfield High School senior, Frank Clark on November 28,
2014. KFMZ/KZBK Operations Manager Jeff Elliott assisted with a research paper Mr. Clark is writing on careers
in communications. He conducted a 15-minute interview, asking a number of questions about the job, training, and
other aspects of the broadcasting and advertising industries.
F: Continued to air weekly announcements encouraging those who are
interested in a broadcast related career to contact us.
G: Continued to air weekly announcements encouraging the help of local organizations in referring
qualified applicants to our stations. These announcements inform organizations that wish to receive our job vacancy
information to contact us.
